On the day before Christmas 2017, the song “Rudolph the red nose reindeer” kept ringing in my head. I had no clue why but then God led me to really think about the lyrics on the part that said, “All of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Rudolph, join in any reindeer games. Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say Rudolph with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight. Then how the reindeer loved him, as they shouted out with glee. “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, You’ll go down in history!”
I know the song is make believe but it made me think about how sometimes, we can feel like Rudolph.
Have you ever had something about yourself that seemed like only you understood? Or maybe you have a unique gift that is lying dormant inside of you and you don’t know how to let it out.
I will say this, giving up on it is the last thing you want to ever do. If the Rudolph story was real, I’m sure he had moments where he felt left out, alone and misunderstood, much like how we can be today due to confusing situations and circumstances. I want to encourage you to change that thought of feeling like you’re by yourself. The unique thing about you that seems different has the potential to make you very prosperous as long as you believe.
Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great people.”
Keep working at what you do. Don’t allow others to give you a red nosebleed. You were created to see yourSELF as a guiding light. Your uniqueness is not strange! It’s going to guide you to a place that will make others shout with glee!
“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Matthew 20:16)
